What are the tools you have been using to facilitate remote meetings and workshops?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This is a repeated question I\u2019ve been receiving lately. Therefore, I decided to create a list and share it. On a <a href=\"https:\/\/caroli.org\/en\/ferramentas-para-facilitacao-remota\/\">previous post in Portuguese<\/a>, I have asked what are the remote tools people have been using.<\/p>\n<p>In this post I will share a <strong>list of the tools I\u2019ve been using on the remote meetings and workshops<\/strong> since the beginning of the year (when colleagues from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thoughtworks.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Thoughtworks<\/a> China asked me to help facilitate a remote workshop because of a local lock down they were facing\u2026 little did I know that soon later everyone would be working remotely).<\/p>\n<p>Even though, some of these tools can do more than one thing, when deciding on the tool, I think about it for a specific need. They are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>File Sharing<\/strong>: Dropbox, Google Drive, GitHub<\/li>\n<li><strong>Realtime communication<\/strong>: Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Hangout, Skype<\/li>\n<li><strong>Asynchronous messaging<\/strong>: WhatsApp, Slack, Telegram, Mail<\/li>\n<li><strong>Task organisation<\/strong>: Trello, Jira, Excel<\/li>\n<li><strong>Visual collaboration<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mural.co\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mural<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/miro.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Miro<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Remote retrospective<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.funretrospectives.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FunRetrospectives<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Swisstool or toolbox<\/h2>\n<p>Some people prefer to have one Swisstool, others prefer to have a toolbox with specific tools for specific needs. <strong>I prefer to have a toolbox with many tools (including a Swisstool)<\/strong>. We talked and saw each other on <strong>Zoom<\/strong>. We collaborated visually on <strong>Mural<\/strong>, where I prepared a board with a sequence of <strong>FunRetrospectives<\/strong> activities\u00a0 (I added a link to the <a href=\"https:\/\/app.funretrospectives.com\/?activity=safety-check\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Safety Check anonymous board<\/a>\u00a0 in the Mural board \u2014 it was simpler than recreating it in Mural and working out the details for the anonymous voting). We used <strong>Mail<\/strong> to share the info before the workshop. The result of the workshop was uploaded on the team&#8217;s <strong>Google Drive<\/strong>, and a few action itens were added to <strong>Jira<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What\u2019s in your remote toolbox?
