Write an eBook – an action plan to get started (until you reach 1000 downloads)

You want to write an eBook?

Below is an action plan to get started (until you reach 1000 downloads)

Please find below an action plan to get started with your eBook:

  1. Publish on leanpub your in-progress book
  2. Create a web page for the eBook (not your ebook page on leanpub)
  3. Set the book price (e.g. 19,99 – 29,99) and create a coupon for FREE.
  4. Write blog posts/linkedin posts/medium (e.g. a session from the ebook or related topic) which ends with a call-to-action: Interested on this topic? Download this amazing eBook now. It´s FREE! (pointing to the ebook page – the eBook page points to leanpub link with the FREE coupon); one post per week for 10 weeks
  5. Email friends, coworkers, or any lists of people that could enjoy the eBook.
  6. Write articles about the book (article goes to known online magazines or somewhere with larger audience); one article every other month for 6 months.
  7. Speak at conferences on the eBook topic; at least two conferences per year for 2 years.

On the next post on this series I will share an action plan for when you reach 1000 downloads on Leanpub.
