Team Architecture Redesign

The “Team Architecture Redesign” activity is a structured process designed to help teams critically assess and revamp their current structures. It’s an opportunity to compare different organizational frameworks, ultimately choosing the most fitting structure and identifying the steps needed for a smooth transition. This exercise focuses on collaborative evaluation, exploring viable options, and planning for upcoming challenges and necessary actions.

“To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.” – Winston Churchill

Step by Step

  1. Identify our current team structure, noting down each member’s name, role, and team boundaries. Include visuals like photos for a clearer picture.
  2. Sketch out potential future team structures as proposals to evaluate.
  3. Discuss and compare the various options, then select the most suitable structure.
  4. Record any challenges and the necessary steps to transition to the new team structure effectively.

Using simple shapes like boxes, diamonds, and arrows, it clarifies each action and decision point, revealing inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement. When created collaboratively, a flowchart becomes a shared tool for alignment, clarity, and continuous improvement.
