Navigating the organizational structure

I am not sure we have been mapping the organisation structure correctly. By “we”  I mean these amazing lean and agile people, going into many organisations, discovering wonders and showing them how to do organisational transformation.

I have to be humble, or it is just the new-me, on my 40s looking at the old me, on my 30s, and saying: “now you can see the whole picture. And you thought you knew it back then”.

Below is the 1489 British Library Martellus. It took Henricus Martellus several trips to get into such map. And it was not complete yet.

I am on my early 40s (a young sailor) attempting to map the whole organisational transformation. I better learn from the past. Let’s just not say this is “the map”. Instead let’s say this is our currently understanding of a good way to map the organisation transformation. Because I am pretty sure that in a few years other amazing sailors will bring more up-to-date knowledge and better maps will be created.

Let’s just not say this is “the map”. Instead let’s say this is our currently understanding of a good way to map the organisation transformation. Tweet This.
