Lean Delivery with Agile Metrics Training

How to take the inception plan into a successful deliver using agile and flow metrics?

Based on the Cumulative Flow Diagram book and the Lean Delivery eBook, by Andrea Pinto and Paulo Caroli, the Lean Delivery Training with Agile Metrics focuses on Lean delivery planning and execution, based, respectively, on Lean Inception and flow metrics. From the Lean Inception, you have the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) plan and its features. Then the team must deliver it; fast and effectively. You know it’s not that easy. A good understanding of how to plan and how to track deliveries based on flow metrics helps agile teams take the result of a good inception into a successful delivery.

You will learn

  • How to do a release plan for the MVP and the product increments
  • How to track the delivery of MVP features and the product increments
  • How to cadence the work with Scrum and Kanban
  • How to visualize the workflow
  • How to use flow metrics: WIP, lead time, cycle time, throughput
  • What is and how to apply Little’s Law
  • Why you should use Pull versus Push
  • How to build a Burn-up chart and a CFD (Cumulative Flow Diagram)
  • How to build a Lead Time Histogram
  • The importance of a multi-functional team

Frequently asked questions about training

What do I get by participating in the Training?

In addition to participating in the simulation of an agile team creating an MVP and networking with other participants, you will have the chance to discuss tips and frequently asked questions about Lean Delivery: how to create your MVP with Scrum and Kanban. You will receive e-book, support material and the Certificate of participation in this training.

Can I do Lean Delivery Training without having done Lean Inception Training?

You can, but you must have read the book Lean Inception. The Lean Delivery Training will clarify how to create your MVP with Scrum and Kanban, from a set of MVP functionalities (result of a Lean Inception). But, it is important to be aware that many people in this Training already have experience with Lean Inception and MVP. In addition to reading the book Lean Inception, we recommend reviewing the summary on Lean Inception and MVP.

Who will teach the Training?

One of the authorized trainers, all with a lot of experience in the subject and with excellent feedback from those who participated in previous trainings. Authorized trainers always value ethics, respect for society and people. We respect and follow our Code of Conduct.

What are people saying about this training?

Thank you so much for the very crisp and effective training on lean delivery. The hands-on-training using a realistic lean delivery simulation- starting from lean inception, to estimations for MVP and using the concept of ‘limiting WIP’ to manage scope and timeline with resource constraints thrown in – was really very innovative and interesting.

I find the course very engaging and informative. The examples and the analogies (especially the virtual drinking game) that you have shared with us, helped me to understand the concepts behind Lean Delivery and how it ties in with Lean Inception. This course has certainly inspired me to relook at how I would do delivery with my team and the client for my next project.
